Glazed pottery
White satin glaze on body, blue glaze detail underneath, terracotta clay showing through
Approx. 90mm tall, 100mm diameter
This vase was thrown on the wheel by Jordan Davey-Emms and fired in an electric kiln. It has been dunked in glaze twice, resulting in a variable surface. The lip has been left rough with throwing textures intact; the sides were shaped with fingers and a wooden rib. Please note, this vase is quite thinly turned - a vase weight (or rock) may be need to for fresh flower arrangements.
